Principal's Update 5-29-20

Dear Graduating Seniors,

Today is the deadline to request a letter grade in your classes.  Any student who has not notified their teacher by midnight tonight that they desired a letter grade will receive a credit or no credit.  Seniors must turn in tablets, books, calculators, uniforms, and anything outstanding as soon as possible.  We have many students who have not picked up their senior awards and graduation items that they will need for our ceremony next week.  We do have tassels, caps and gown in the office for sale.  In addition, any student who did not order a cap and gown and would like to borrow one, should come to the office and we’ll take care of you.

The main office and the business office will be open Monday through Thursday next week from 10-2.  Please come in to take care of outstanding fees, especially since fees will place a hold on transcripts and your diploma.

Now for graduation details.  The online graduation speeches will be on the website on June 4th at 5pm.  The drive thru celebration in our student parking lot begins on June 5th at 9am.  Last names A- L come in from 9-10:30. Last names M-Z enter from 10:30 – 12.

I need all families to have one car per student and make sure the graduate is in the front passenger seat wearing their cap and gown.  To commemorate our kids, the class of 2020 is the only class in history that will be allowed to decorate their cap.  I encourage my kids to keep it clean and classy.  Students will receive their diploma cover, the 2020 program and will exit the vehicle to walk across the stage.  We have arranged for two commemorative photos to be taken of the graduate.  PV will purchase one to mail home free of charge and the second will be available for your access on the website.  The stadium processional of cars and fun will be filmed via livestream on for your family members who cannot attend.

To add to the celebratory nature of this event, we are encouraging families to decorate their cars to honor our seniors.  This is purely optional.  Please keep the passenger front door free from any decoration as we have a small surprise for our graduates.  Vehicles should enter the Panther Stadium by driving in from Donovan.  Any family not arriving in a vehicle should call the school for alternative accommodations.  Seniors, I am so proud of you and I am looking forward to seeing your smiling faces next week! Go Class of 2020!
