PVHS Senior Portrait 2016-2017 Yearbook Deadlines

 DEADLINE: September 9th

Baby pictures are due to Mr. Howard in Room 205. Photos need to be wallet size and include the senior’s name and period 4 teacher name on the back.

DEADLINE:  October 28th

Senior yearbook portrait - Students may use any photographer of their choice.

REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS

  • All photograph submissions must comply with District yearbook portrait guidelines as outlined below. 
  • Specifications require photos be 3.5" tall by 2.5" wide @ 300 dpi and .jpg format 
  • Senior portraits are to be submitted to Mr. Howard in room 205 on disk or via email to dhoward@smjuhsd.org.
  • If specifications are not followed, the District retains the right to not publish photos in the yearbook.
     

DEADLINE: November 7, 8, 9, 10 

Late Senior Portrait Make-Up Day - Free portraits will be taken in Room 205 during lunch for those seniors who did not have their senior portrait taken for the yearbook.

DEADLINE: December 16th

Senior Congratulations and Senior Memories are due to “The Yearbook Company” not to PVHS or PVHS Yearbook.

 SENIOR PORTRAIT DRESS CODE

All Seniors in the Santa Maria High School District

The Board of Trustees of the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District has approved the following dress code for senior portraits to be included in the yearbook.

            Not considered suitable for publication are, but not limited to, the following:

           •   Others in the picture with the senior: no children, spouses, friends, or relatives.
           •   Attire which is not neat, clean and non-disruptive
           •   Hats or any head covering / head gear.
           •   Clothing which does not cover the chest and upper torso.  
 
          •   Any apparel with rips or holes.
           •   Visible tattoos.
           •   Weapons of any kind.
           •   Anything that promotes, advertises, implies or suggests the use of drugs,
                 alcohol, or tobacco.
           •   Obscenity or lewdness.
           •   Anything that is inflammatory in regard to race, religion or heritage.
           •  Anything that identifies, promotes, or relates to gangs or gang affiliation.

Seniors and/or their parents may choose to have portraits taken as they desire; however the above specifications must be followed for the picture to be included in the yearbook. Please review this list and listen to your photographers suggestions to meet this dress code.
