At the March 9, 2021 meeting of the SMJUHSD Board of Trustees, the governing board approved the continued safe return to in-person instruction next month. Teachers will return to campuses April 12th, and provided SB County is in the red tier, seniors will return on April 19th. Students in grades 9-10-11 will continue remote learning with weekly evaluation for a possible return date.

To determine accurate numbers of students coming back to campus on a daily basis, we ask that you submit the form linked below only if you DO NOT WANT your student to come back to in-person classroom instruction.

Masks Required
The wearing of face coverings for all staff, students and visitors will be mandatory on each campus. If students or visitors refuse to wear a face covering, they will be asked to leave campus and not return until they will wear a required face covering.

Mandatory Health Screening
Effective Monday, April 12, 2021, all staff and students will be required to complete a health screening report through ParentSquare before entering any District facility or school site. The link can be found on the top right of your ParentSquare page.

The health screening feature is active from 8:00 PM to 4:00 PM the following day. If you forget to complete your health screening, school sites will have the ability to conduct your health screening for you.
