Sexual Assault Awareness Week Planned

Next week April 23rd through April 27th the SHARe Club (Safe, Healthy, Adolescent Relationships)  will be promoting Sexual Assault Awareness.  Club Advisor Angela Collins comments, "I know that this has been an important topic in the media this past year with the Me Too and Time’s up movements, but many of our students are still very unaware." 

Throughout the week, there will varied dress-up days, information table, pledge cards, giveaways and a rally to raise awareness. 

Please support the cause by wearing the following on our Dress Up days:

  • Monday- Neon “Speak Out Against Sexual Assault”
  • Tuesday- Flannel “Anyone can be a victim or a perpetrator of sexual assault no matter your gender, age, race, religion, education or economic status”
  • Wednesday- Denim Day “Believe and Support Survivors of Sexual Assault”
  • Thursday- Black and White “ Consent is black or white either you have it or you don’t”
  • Friday- Teal “ Teal is the color for Sexual Assault Awareness”
