Two familiar faces will not return to PVHS in the fall.  Looking forward to a new chapter are Wanda Curry, English Language Arts teacher, and Ronald Travis, Instructional Assistant in Special Education.

Education was a second career for both.  Prior to her 22 years in education teaching second language learners, Wanda worked in the hospitality business.  Ron retired from the US Postal Service before coming to PV in 2015.

In retirement, Wanda hopes to take art classes, travel and spend time with her father who just celebrated his 100th birthday.  Ron, who has two daughters in Australia had a trip planned there in June that was postponed due to the pandemic.  He has four grandchildren and looks forward to spending more time with them.

Both retirees commented they will miss many things about the school, but especially the staff.  "I appreciated the professionalism and kindness of the staff," shared Ron.  "I've made many friends here, that I plan to keep in touch with," stated Wanda.

Because of the pandemic, a final farewell in front of the staff was not possible at this time.  Both were "thanked for their time" by the school principal the final weeks of the school year.  PVHS wishes them much happiness in retirement!  Congratulations Wanda and Ron!
