The Harvest 2020 - Fun in the Vineyard

With no students on campus, the Ag Department invited staff to help with this year's harvest of grapes in the PVHS vineyard.  The yield for the varietals included 200 pounds of chardonnay and 120 pinot noir.  Hector Guerra demonstated the use of a refractometer used for measuring brix (sugar) levels which were 24 for the pinot and 26 on the chardonnay - perfect for the next phases of crushing and fermentation.
