Sports Highlights - Week of February 22

Athletic Director Anthony Morales made some important sports announcements today. 

Please congratulate our varsity women's golf program as they swept Morro Bay High School.  On Monday, our girls defeated MBHS 266-269 @ Blacklake G.C (In golf, lowest score wins).  In this match Breanna Villalobos was co-medalist with the #1 women's golfer from MBHS.  On Thursday, our girls defeated MBHS 278-280 @ Morro Bay G.C.  Once again Breanna Villalobos was our top medalist with a score of 50.  Please congratulate all PVHS varsity girls as they all contributed to both victories.  & My apologies, previously our varsity girls played St. Joseph H.S last week.  Match #1 our girls lost 249-307 & Match #2 our girls lost 254-278.  The girls are currently 2-2 for the season.  Next week our opponent is Mission Prep High School.

Tomorrow our PVHS cross country program will be having their first official competition vs. the Saints @ Santa Maria H.S.  Our men & women's cross-country team look forward to this event.  Please with them luck.  & Just a side note:  our cross-country program was the first PVHS sports team to begin competition when they participated in two back-to-back scrimmages with Righetti H.S that took place on 2/6 & 2/12.
