In the final luncheon of the school year, athletic director Greg Dickinson was pleased to have a pair of his coaches make an appearance. Most coaches at PV are on campus instructors and it is hard for them to get away.
“As the AD, I’m real proud of our athletes at Pioneer Valley as well as the coaches,” Dickinson said. “Week in and week out, they all work extremely hard and it makes my job pretty easy as far as the work ethic they have on the field and in the classroom.”
Golf coach Neil Reed brought four year seniors Cameron Cena and J.T. Osborn.
“I feel the program is growing and we are definitely improving,” Reid said. “We went from six kids when I started three years ago to 19 kids this year.”
Track coach Aris Manosar had four athletes — sophomore high jumper Brent Dionisio, who finished second in the PAC 7, long jumper Dustin Roberts, Codie Corbin, first in the 100, and senior Louie Balderama, second in the 400.
Dickinson spoke for softball and introduced captain and outfielder Chelsea Baker and outfielder/pitcher Daphna Leichner
“These two young ladies are great examples of our athletes at Pioneer Valley,” Dickinson said.
