PV’s Activity Director Lisa Walters has been elected to the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) Area D Coordinator position, making her one of eight representatives from Los Angeles County to the tip of Monterey County.
CADA is the largest statewide support network for activity directors in the nation. Its mission is to promote and support leadership development through student activities.
“It is an honor to be elected, as it represents the respect of all of the activity directors along the Central Coast,’’ Walters said. “My dearest purpose is to connect our students to their school, help them find their best selves, and inspire them to do their best in school and in life. The best way to accomplish this is to give them the most opportunities possible. I can do this, and also provide them with a role model, by serving as the CADA Area D Coordinator.’’
Walters will plan advisor and student conferences, trainings, the Area D portion of the CADA state conference and serve on the CADA Board. All student conferences and trainings and any other CADA-related absence, will be paid at 100% by CADA Central. This will save PVHS and the District several thousand dollars per year.
